My friend Emily – amazing jewellery designer based in Vancouver, has been featured in the February 2012 issue of Vogue UK!

EmilyElizabeth jewellery designs are very unique, deconstructive and use the richest materials for investment-quality pieces. Her attention to detail and exclusivity is very sought through in each piece she creates. She is a fashion-savvy young lady who lives and breathes the world of art & fashion which obviously shows through all of her designs. She frequently creates custom-ordered pieces for her clients along side working on her own personal collections.

She recently interned with Atelier Zobel in Konstanz, Germany, where she has gained a great hands-on experience and inspiration. She’s on her way to success, watch out for her!

Has anyone watched “It’s a Brad Brad World” on Bravo TV yet? I just caught up watching the first few episodes online, and I’m loving it!

Brad Goreski is a stylist who assisted Rachel Zoe for many years (also appearing on her reality TV show “The Rachel Zoe Project”). He has now sprouted out on his own in L.A/world-wide. Very recently he has been titled the “Exclusive brand stylist” for Kate Spade!Go Braddd! I love his soft, quirky, loveable, charming, gay-licious personality and his drive for success in the fashion industry. He also has an obvious, amazing sense of style (and hook-ups for big designer clothing – lucky man!), AND he’s Canadiannnnn! Rep Reppp!

Rachel Zoe & Brad do not speak anymore, apparently Rachel isn’t too fond of his solo career. Well, I personally think that if you have an assistant for many years, be prepared for them to eventually  take their experiences and further attempt to pursue their own career. Either way, Rachel has an empire of her own, I’m sure she will be just fine even with a little competition on the side. Although, everyday there are more and more people interested in becoming stylists!

Anyway, I love these types of shows (such as, “Kell on Earth”, “The City” etc) because they really give an inside scoop on how things ‘roll’ out there (definitely altered for TV viewer’s pleasure). For young people looking to climb up in the fashion world, it is always exciting to watch various everyday-affairs on screen. On the other end though, they do glam up the lifestyle and erase the “reality” in some of it, considering it is “reality TV”…

Well, so far, Brad has expressed that he has worked very hard to get to where he is now. He’s in his early 30′s and that has definitely put things into perspective on my end. Looks like my goal of doing “big things” by 25 might not be the first reach. 30 really is the new 20, and us young adults really need to have patience, work very hard, & maybe kiss some ass to get to that top spot.

Brad was recently featured in a Maclean’s article with another successful man in the fashion world, Mr. Joe Zee (Creative Director @ US Elle Magazine). Always a pleasure to read about the steps taken into a successful career. ad the article HERE

Tres Tres Chic! They better teach her some francais! Scratch “niggaz in Paris” we have ourselves “babies in Paris”.

Cheers to the world’s power couple’s new baby girl! I can’t wait to see what will come out of this little lady.

No, not about a “gang bang” you perv. It’s BANG GANG – amazing music by a dude from Iceland named Bardi Johannsson. I recently discovered his music (by watching the movie “Cashback”, which, you should watch), and immediately obsessed. The sounds of melodic pop, indie pop, down tempo and a little electronic are so unique, and touch my heart in a way where I feel like I’m floating. For some reason his music reminds me a little bit of The XX, even though, technically they are considered a little more “alternative” aside from indie pop & rock, but it gives off the same “chill-out” “lets-read-a-book” type of  feeling. I guess being from a far-away place such as Iceland, you’re bound to offer a different approach to creativity, song writing and music making. Oh, I obviously did my research and of coursssse Bardi Johannsson is a VIRGO – if you know me by now, I’m such a fucking Virgo, and tend to frequently admire other Virgo’s without even knowing it at first. Love that energy, man.

I wrote about my excitment for his s/s ’11 fashion show HERE (I’ve posted the video of the show below as well)

I have pictures of Tom and his ad campaigns/editorials spread across a mixed collaged wall in my room. His perfectionism (which I am a victim of as well), and his eye for the right choice comes off so appealing in his designs. He is definitely business-minded and understands what works. Maybe my love for his personality comes from his astrological trait- a Virgo. Obviously, as I’ve previously mentioned about my tribe of Virgos out there, I can definitely relate to being a perfectionist, emotional, extremely passionate, yet tend to lose my mind often in gathered thoughts of clarification especially when I look at an empty schedule (I like to work hard). I dress up and pamper when I’m feeling down (which many of you have probably learned that, in the long run, doesn’t always cover up internal sadness or pain). When my space starts to clutter or I become unorganized, there is clearly something missing or wrong in my life.

The ups and downs of any person’s life span are always amusing to listen to, especially for any young adult who is somewhere at the beginning of their “road” and is in need of an “OK” to the mistakes that have been made or the mistakes that will be made and just in general, the squiggle of current events that wash through one’s life in a snap. That’s why I enjoyed watching this video of Tom speak on his success and his daily routines.
