Cariiiiine! (screaming in a French accent) My fave Virgo in the world. This September we will have the chance to explore a magazine created by a true artist. I have been a big admirer of Roitfeld for some time, and I believe her grandeur in the fashion industry is d’une grande.
Recently I purchased her elegant (and huge) book “IRREVERENCE”, and after reading it once, I frequently indulge through the pages before bed for inspiration. Her hard work and many years of experience in the world of art and fashion is an ongoing reminder to keep pushing towards your true passion with no expectations because whatever is to come, is full of surprises.
With her experience and connections in the industry, CR will definitely be fresh, unique and full of true artistic approaches especially coming from someone of various backgrounds (stylist, editor in chief of Vogue, mother, daughter of a film maker, model…). Carine described to WWD that the magazine will be “a celebration of fashion and creativity”. Might not sound like a shock or rocket science in regards to a what a fashion magazine is about, but I trust this magazine will be filled with far-fetched, beautiful editorials and spreads unlike we’ve ever seen. Also according to WWD, each issue will be constructed around a theme, and although CR is an English publication, Roitfeld said she intends to publish certain articles in the native language of their author, with translations to be found at the back. For example, if filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar were to pen something for her, it would be in Spanish.
No, not about a “gang bang” you perv. It’s BANG GANG – amazing music by a dude from Iceland named Bardi Johannsson. I recently discovered his music (by watching the movie “Cashback”, which, you should watch), and immediately obsessed. The sounds of melodic pop, indie pop, down tempo and a little electronic are so unique, and touch my heart in a way where I feel like I’m floating. For some reason his music reminds me a little bit of The XX, even though, technically they are considered a little more “alternative” aside from indie pop & rock, but it gives off the same “chill-out” “lets-read-a-book” type of feeling. I guess being from a far-away place such as Iceland, you’re bound to offer a different approach to creativity, song writing and music making. Oh, I obviously did my research and of coursssse Bardi Johannsson is a VIRGO – if you know me by now, I’m such a fucking Virgo, and tend to frequently admire other Virgo’s without even knowing it at first. Love that energy, man.
I’ve uploaded a few songs to my soundcloud for you to listen to:
MY ULTIMATE FAVE SONG that I have been repeating over and over every night and morning is “Inside”. Music-gasming over that one!
I like it so much that I’ve pasted the lyrics below. Appreciate with me will you? I’M DYING. SOO GOOD! (more…)
Tom Ford. One of my all time favourite designers, more importantly, favourite person in the fashion industry. An extremely creative, passionate and inspiring individual. Watch this 40 minute video. (more…)
She’s been playing on my speakers since I was a pre-teen. I remember the days of Destiny’s Child when my friends and I created dances to “bugaboo” and “jumpin jumpin”. Or the days I would cry listening to “Dangerously in Love”, I was probably 12 and thought I was “in love” (with a boy who didn’t even know I existed, go figure). And I’m sure that when you play her music, you suddenly come across an enormous wind of emotion or your ego boosts up and suddenly you feel like a d-d-d-diva right?
She’s grown into a beautiful woman as I am growing into one myself, so I have a lot of love and respect for this lady right here. I’ve probably mentioned before, she is a Virgo (just like me) and in that case, I can relate to her in many ways…we should just be friends, seriously. I’m still waiting to find myself a legendary Sagittarius dude such as her hubby the one and only Jigga man…but that’s another story.
I was so happy when my Harpers Bazaar came in the mail this morning, to see Beyonce gracing the cover – shot by Terry Richardson. The interview featured in this issue was a pleasure to read. Need she be any more inspiring to the women of the world?
“I am finally at the stage in my life where I am not so concerned with other people’s opinions about my life decisions. It is so liberating to really know what I want, what truly makes me happy, what I will not tolerate. I have learned that it is no one else’s job to take care of me but me.”
Thank you Beyonce for empowering women and making us feel fabulous. You can see the passion, love and effort you have put forward to get to where you are today. I still await the coming years to grow into someone as inspiring as you.
They broke up recently, but I just want to share my love for George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis.
I really liked them together! So classy, so chic, so SEXY. American Actor and exotic Italian model, true hollywood glam couple. She’s a Virgo, and he’s a Taurus (astrological hottness). Too bad things didn’t work out…
Watch Beyonce run it. Woman is inspiring, caring, beautiful, and so powerful. She can sing like the angels above. Hey, she’s another damn Virgo doing big things out there. #Respect
BEYONCE KILLING IT @ THE BILLBOARD AWARDS! (look at all of the love at the beginning and end of the video).
#1 female artist of the century! She is truly an inspiring entrepreneur, business-minded, fashionable, beautiful, talented as hell woman! 29 years old. She is also a Virgo…I can relate ;) hah
I love you Beyonce! Repppp the women of the world! Rawwr!
Oh and at the end: ” I loooove me some Jay-Z!” – me too B, me too. Except, you go home to him every night, and I am stuck listening to his music on iTunes. Hard. Knock. Life.
He is a 21 year old, very talented producer and DJ from good ol’ Sweden. The fact that he is 21 makes him that much more special, and because he is a DJ, at this age, it makes me a super groupie towards this babe!(Oh, and i creeped his bio… he is also a Virgo, like me…just saying.)
He feeds off this amazing energy during shows and his music always gives me goosebumps…especially the tracks with vocals.
Anyway, I thought I would introduce him on my blog since I haven’t yet.
I’ve posted a few youtube vids below so you can check him out…
LADIES & GENTS: TIM BERGLING a.k.a AVICII.
Enjoy!
One of my FAVE tracks: “Malo“. This gets me dancing like a flamenco dancer and wanting to speak Spanish for days. Great bumpy rhythm, and sexy Spanish vocals. Here is the remix I like to listen to by Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney:
