Gimmemar

I was just reading up on Vogues discussion (via Vogue Daily) on Harem Pants. Its interesting to see what people think about the Harem pants.

I personally like them and bought a pair from the Bay this summer… I have to admit I really dont think they are the most flattering pair of pants I own, but I guess seeing them on skinny models made me want to own some. Thinking of it now, I think I should have passed on them, and that the pants did win me over. However, I am sure If I had the money to purchase some higher-end harem pants, they would appear much more flattering depending on the style.

I thought Grace Coddington’s opinion on them was cute, and true:

“I have a love-hate relationship with them,” says Creative Director Grace Coddington, pointing out that they look best if you’re tall and slender. “Love because I used to love wearing the ones YSL first did in the seventies, when I was young and slim; and hate because I can’t wear them now because I’m no longer young and slim.”
